Ausser den Nummern 1, 2 und 5, die W.A. Mozart im Alter von 6 Jahren komponierte, stammen die vorliegenden "15 kleinen Kompositionen" aus dem Londoner Skizzenbuch (K.V. 1, 2, 3, und 15) des achtjährigen jungen Meisters. Bemerkenswert ist hier, dass der kleine Mozart für dieses Skizzenbuch kein Klavier zur Verfügung hatte, also sich allein auf seine Vorstellung und sein inneres Ohr verlassen musste. Die vorliegende Ausgabe "Mozart für Kinder" möchte den heutigen Altersgenossen Mozarts Gelegenheit geben, auf möglichst vielfältige Art und Weise mit ihm Freundschaft zu schließen. Daher wurden verschiedene Besetzungsmöglichkeiten ausgearbeitet. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad der verschiedenen Insrumente hält sich die Waage, so dass die "15 kleinen Kompositionen" bestens dazu geeignet sind, bereits im frühesten Alter an die Kammermusik heranzuführen, sei es im Musizierkreis an Schulen oder im familiären Kreis.


Except for Nos. 1, 2, and 5 which W.A. Mozart composed at the age of six, the "15 Little Compositions" stem from 8-year-old Wolfgang's "London Sketch Book" (K.V.1, 2, 3 and 15). It is worth knowing that at the time he worked on the Sketch Book the little genius had no piano or cembalo at hand to support him. Thus he could rely only on his imagination, his idea of sound inside him. The edition introduced here intends to give today's children of the same age an opportunity to make friends with young Wolfgang in as manyfold a way as possible. For this reason a variety of scoring is available. The degree of difficulty for the various instruments is approximately equal. In this way the "15 Little Compositions" are exceptionally suitable to make a young musician familiar with chamber music at a very early age, be it on the occasion of music circles, school music classes or at home.
